My Little Box September 2015

This is my 2nd My Little Box and I'm so impressed I decided to start up a blog to review the wonderful treasures they send of a month to month basis.

This month brought me My Little Fashion Box. Anyone knows me will know I love fashion and eagerly await the fashion weeks and the Vogue that follows to confirm what's not. So I was pretty delighted to see a box with a fashion theme.

Beautifully presented as ever, I slowly opened my box. Tied it the trademark My Little Box ribbon with a cute postcard declaring 'The prettiest dresses are worn to be taken off'. A quote from the French writer, Jean Cocteau, that just oozes sexiness and will definitely be getting framed to go in my dressing room.

The My Little World magazine was in there but I must admit I have skipped it over to look at my other goodies. I believe it used to come in a glossy format rather than the folded up per version I've received in the last two boxes. I must admit that had it been in the glossy style I would be less likely to skip the magazine.

Under that I discovered a little gem that made the whole box worthwhile. A stunning limited edition scarf from American Vintage. Presented in a chic and fashionable style befitting of the celebration of the 10 years anniversary of American Vintage franchise.

Next I spotted some nail decals. Personally for me these are a little young. I may wear them one weekend although it's far more likely they'll go to my partner's daughter. Nice colours though so not too in your face.

Again, anyone who knows me will know I love a wee tipple. Particularly a cocktail.  So imagine my delight when I found a little Cointreau cocktail kit. The book of Cointreau fizz recipes was well put together and has there been any soda water in my flat I would have given them a bash. Alas, I shall have to make do with prosecco and no doubt at some point my mini Cointreau will be used a make skittle bombs!

Now onto the good bit. The My Little Box filled with beauty products. The bag this time had the adorable message of 'Trust me, you are lovely'. The goodies seem in this month's box were a red lip colour from My Little Beauty (their own make up range and featured on the lips of yours truly in the scarf photo above), a La Roche - posay BB cream (thank you very much!) and hairspray from Kérastase (yaldi).
I've yet to try the products out properly.  But red lippy is one of my staples, I'm too lazy most the time to do full makeup so BB Cream is my saviour and hairspray is a must in the windy Scottish climate. All in all these products are gonna get put through hardcore testing!

A great box.
Sorry for the lame photos. They'll be better next month!

I'd love to know what you thought of this month's box. Leave a comment for me!
